A fourth-generation Jackson resident, Peter Lawton has deep roots in the community he continues to serve. He earned a degree in finance from the University of Wyoming and pursued graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma, the University of Washington, and the University of Chicago Business School.
Peter began his banking career at Jackson State Bank, where he became president in 2004. After the bank was acquired by Wells Fargo in 2008, he served as Market President. In 2011, he joined Bank of Jackson Hole as Chairman and CEO. Today, he serves as Executive Managing Director for Bank of Jackson Hole and Executive Vice President for National Bank Holdings.
Throughout the years, Peter has contributed his time and leadership to numerous boards in Jackson and currently serves on the Wyoming State Banking Board. Outside of work, he enjoys many of the outdoor activities that make Jackson special, especially fishing and skiing.
